Surrey Central City Driving School Tips

Surrey has over 25 red light cameras

This means that in order to pass your ICBC road test you need to keep a safe following distance! Our drivers ed courses teach you how to effectively maintain space both in front and behind your vehicle. This allows you enough time to brake early to avoid any hazards. It also gives you an escape route should you need to avoid trouble or emergencies.

Scan and Look while you drive

Our Defensive Driving courses train you where to look, to scan intersections and to look well ahead while you drive. These are some of the most important driving habits that will help you not only pass your driving test and get your driving license, you will also drive safely. If you do these habits consistently, you can spot problems before they occur, such as upcoming red lights, speed bumps and oncoming traffic that isn't going to stop!

How far did you just drive?

Did you know that every second that you take your eyes off the road you travel almost 14 meters (15 yards)? This is why it's so important to limit or eliminate all potential distractions while you drive. We believe in putting away your cell phone, turning off the radio and paying close attention to your surroundings. Learn to drive responsibly as well as pass your road test with Young Drivers of Canada Approved ICBC Driving School.
