Young Drivers encourages Parents to Not Pass on their Bad Habits

Young Drivers says parents play an important part in how their teen drives — not only as a teacher, but also as a role model, where “Often I will have a parent comment that they want us to teach their new driver so they do not pass on their bad habits. Unfortunately, that has already happened ... Their children have been watching them exceed the speed limit, not stop at stop signs and talk or text on the phone and, because dad or mom did it, even if they have been told ‘don’t you do this,’ they think it is OK to do. This will put a new teen driver at significantly greater risk because of lack of experience.”
