Young Drivers of Canada State-of-the-Art Drivers Ed Programs

Safe driving at Young Drivers of Canada is based on our exclusive drivier education programs that are updated every year. Driver distraction and increased traffic congestion are just a few of the challenges you will face in learning how to drive and to pass your road test. At Young Drivers we teach new drivers the skills they need to meet the challenges of safe driving on today's roads, in addition to helping them pass the drivers test! Only at Young Drivers will each student receive CogniFit New Driver cognitive training that can improve dealing with short-term memory, divided attention, reaction times, changing plans and speed of judgment. These improved cognitive skills give YD graduates a much better chance of avoiding collisions. Your driving instructors will teach skills including freeway/highway driving, head-on collision avoidance, gravel shoulder drop-off, rear crash avoidance - just to name a few. As part of how you learn to drive, YD in-car instructors demonstrate life-saving techniques to you and you will have the opportunity to practice these skills with a professional by your side. That means when and if it happens for real - you'll know what to do!

YD Driving School Teaches How to Stay Collision-Free

Young Drivers driver training uses habits and sub-habits to demonstrate to students how to watch out for other drivers errors - mistakes that result in collisions that could have been avoided. We constantly monitor the quality of the driver ed programs offered through four levels of quality control, where Young Drivers of Canada is the ONLY ISO9001:2008 registered driving education school in Canada. In addition, ONLY Young Drivers school of driving has exclusive copyrighted evasive maneuvers training, such as:

  • Rear Crash Avoidance
  • Emergency Braking
  • Emergency Swerving Techniques
  • Head-on Collision Avoidance

These are just some of the life saving techniques YD students are taught. In addition, under Graduated Licensing regulations a novice driver can only drive on some highways and freeways when accompanied by a licensed driving instructor, and YD students are taught the correct way to merge and exit these busy roadways.

We Make Sure Our New Drivers Are Ready for the Road

Every YD student has to pass three in-class tests and two in-car evaluations, in order to make certain they are ready to drive a car on their own and take the drivers license test. In the car students will be evaluated on their defensive driving skills and with the YD simulated road test, we help YD students get ready for the real thing, thereby increasing their likelihood of passing the driver test the first time to successfully get a driver licence.
